Hello my name is Blake.
I am the founder of content strategy consultancy Artemis.
I serve on the board of SOCAP as the VP of Programs for the Bay Area. I blog for Huffington Post and YFS Magazine. Before that I spent five years in the magazine and corporate world in New York City where I built Customer Management IQ and I had one of the top 100 small business podcasts.
In my free time I enjoy travel, running, walking my dog Athena and spending time with my boyfriend Jacob.

Way to go, Blake! I’m looking forward to reading your most excellent insight on the industry. And great bio, too! You’re one smart cookie (sticking with the bakery theme)!

WWhat WWhat advice do you have for the parent of a young woman (23) who is trying to cope with anxiety and depression. She’s on meds…but has lots of ups and downs, feeling lazy, incompentent, unmotivated, scared. I try to be a listening post without offering advice…but it is difficult to hear her say that she hates herself for being lazy and unmotivated. She is seeing a therapist, but isn’t happy with the therapists approach…long silences where my daughter is supposed to recognize her illogical thoughts. She’s looking for someone new…but hasn’t found the right person. Any advice about how to be a better listener as a parent? Thanks.
